Address From 9th IGCA President

Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the 9th executive board of IGCA, I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to all the IGCA members for being present at the 10th IGCC in Verona in your busy schedule. It was an immense pleasure to me to see you there. I believe that the efforts and dedication of each and every IGCA members made this year's Conference a successful one.
During the Conference, manifold specialists from all over the world discussed important issues with a theme “tailored and multidisciplinary gastric cancer treatment” and shared their experiences and expertise. I believe that it will be great help to achieve more sound gastric cancer treatment strategies.
As of the end of the 10th IGCC in Verona, my two-year presidency of the IGCA is concluded. Without the selfless support from the board members, in particular, Dr. Yamaguchi and Ms. Okamoto, my term would not be successful. I would like to take this opportunity to appreciate their dedication to IGCA. I have firm belief that the new president, Dr. Giovanni de Manzoni, will lead the IGCA with excellence bringing prosperity to our Association.
And I am pleased to inform all of the IGCA members that China will be hosting the 12th IGCC in 2017 in Beijing. Chinese delegates were diligent in demonstrating their preparedness and enthusiasm regarding hosting the IGCC in their country. I am confident that 12th IGCC in Beijing will help to deliver benefit both of the IGCA and the China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA).
Finally, next 11th IGCC will be held in Brazil in 2015 when the twenty years of anniversary of the born of IGCC. I believe your endless interest and support will make the success of the 11th IGCC in Brazil as well.
Now we have to return to our usual life, the war against the gastric cancer, and I keep my fingers crossed for all to win the triumph. I wish all the members of IGCA continue success and stay fit in the years ahead. I look forward to seeing you all at the IGCC 2015 in Brazil.
